AB Trading Advisors is a specialist legal advisory firm focusing on derivatives, trading and counterparty documentation, compliance infrastructure and regulatory advice. We have extensive experience in our specialist areas. We provide practical advice with quick response times. Our goal is to be best in class for what we do. We were founded in 2014. We work from our office in the City of London. Our clients include hedge funds, private equity firms, family offices and proprietary trading vehicles.

AB Trading Advisors is a trading name of AB Derivatives Advisors Limited, a limited company formed and registered under the laws of England and Wales under company number 09113840. ¹Legal Services Act 2007, section 12(1) – reserved legal activities means exercising rights of audience, conduct of litigation, reserved instrument activities, probate activities, notarial activities or administration of oaths.
The firm is a member of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA).
People
The firm was founded by Antony Bryceson, a market-leading practitioner. A finance lawyer specialising in derivatives, securities and trading matters, Antony is qualified as a solicitor (now non-practising) in England and Wales, and in Hong Kong.
Prior to founding AB Trading Advisors in 2014, Antony held senior roles at Simmons & Simmons LLP and Sidley Austin LLP. He was the partner responsible for the ‘buy side’ derivatives and trading documentation practice group in the London office of Simmons & Simmons LLP, and co-head of the firm’s derivatives practice. At both Simmons & Simmons LLP and Sidley Austin LLP, Antony advised hedge funds, family offices, trading firms and other clients on a broad range of derivatives, prime brokerage, funds and regulatory matters.
Antony has contributed on a regular basis to legal periodicals including Practical Law, and Butterworths Journal of International Banking and Financial Law. He has been involved in the work of trade bodies such as the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), the FIA (previously known as the Futures Industry Association) and the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA). He is a member of the Financial Markets Law Committee's Asset Management Scoping Forum.
